what do you say when someone asks you, " what do you do?"
it's a question I am trying to avoid constantly.
I don't think, " I sit at home and watch crime shows" is really an answer. sometimes if people ask me, I'll make something up (I don't know why, but I always would tell people I'm a vet), but often times I'll just close the conversation, or make it about the other person- and get them to tell me about them.

any questions about me are quite uncomfortable to answer, the truth of the matter is I'm really not that interesting to be around.

This is difficult to say, however, what I would suggest saying is "I am advocate for mental health awareness".. Albeit your OWN mental health advocate, but they don't need to know that. That will kick off the conversation for sure as you can reference yourself in the third person. It is difficult but I believe you !
